Prien Climbing Forest

The climbing forest with a view of Lake Chiemsee is nestled in a 100-year-old forest of giants trees with a direct view of the beautiful Chiemsee! Prien am Chiemsee is wonderfully located and not far from the Landgasthof zur Post. In the climbing forest, climbing is done at a height of 1-14 meters, with 13 courses and over 110 exciting exercises to complete. The use of the “Smart Belay” safety system, two communicating carabiners, where only one can be unhooked at a time, guarantees your safety. Prienavera Indoor Pool

The Prienavera indoor pool is open all year round. From May to the end of September, the water world delights with a special extra for sun lovers: The associated beach with direct access to Lake Chiemsee delights visitors with its spacious sunbathing lawn. A children’s playground with a sand play area under the sunshade, table tennis tables, a beach badminton court, two private jetties, and the beach café pamper summer guests additionally. Children jump from the diving board, benefit from the shallow entry into the lake, and slide down the giant slide inflated especially for the summer holidays. More information can be found here.

Hiking & Climbing

There are countless hiking trails around Schleching, depending on the preferences of the vacationers. A very popular starting point is the Kampenwand. With the Kampenwand cable car, you can comfortably reach the eponymous mountain peak at about 1,500 meters. Guided hikes are possible from the mountain station. A hiking paradise with numerous possibilities also awaits you at the Hochries – the Rosenheim Hausberg. One of the most famous serviced huts in the Chiemgau is the Frasdorfer Hütte, also known as “Frasi,” in the Hochries area. The narrow-gauge railway travels a total distance of 1.91 kilometers in about eight minutes, which corresponds to an average speed of about 14 kilometers per hour.
